2. Information We Collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, profile photo, and a unique Google account identifier — we never see or store your Google password. We also store the content you create (posts, sparks, comments, messages), your yaar (friend) connections, and basic device/log information such as browser type and app version.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate your account, show your posts and sparks to the right people, deliver notifications (like yaar requests and comments), keep conversations working, and improve the app's reliability and safety. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Yaars, Posts & Public Content
Posts and sparks you create, along with your name and profile photo, are visible to other YaarPlus users. Your yaars count and yaar requests are shared only with the people directly involved in that connection.
5. Messages & Chats
Direct messages are private between you and the people you chat with. We store message history so conversations can sync across sessions and so you can search or delete them later. Messages you delete "for everyone" are removed from both sides; deleting "for me" only hides them from your own view.
6. Notifications
We send in-app notifications for activity relevant to you — yaar requests, acceptances, comments, and replies. You control what you see through the Notifications screen.
7. Third-Party Services
We use Google Sign-In solely to authenticate your identity. We do not share your YaarPlus content with Google or any other third party for advertising purposes.
8. Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your content for as long as your account is active. You can delete individual posts, sparks, comments, or messages at any time. To request full account deletion, contact us using the details below.
9. Children's Privacy
YaarPlus is intended for users aged 13 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No system is 100% secure, so please use a strong, unique password on your Google account and report any suspicious activity to us.
11. Your Rights & Choices
You can update your name, username, bio, and profile photo at any time from Settings. You may remove a yaar connection, delete content, or request account deletion whenever you like.
12. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll let you know of significant changes through the app or website.
